How this works. Battery kWh and miles per kWh are planner defaults you can treat as guesses until you confirm them. Energy toward the miles includes a 15% planner reserve in the script. Time is that energy divided by the kW you typed, before charging losses. DOE notes charging time also depends on state of charge, battery type, onboard capacity, equipment output, and electrical service. Charge Pro LA is a referral service. It does not promise that kW, that energy, an arrival window, or a Cybertruck. The independent operator confirms what they can do.

What is a rescue charge?

Enough energy to reach a charger or another safe stop, if the car can accept it. This calculator is planner math from the numbers you enter. It is not a Charge Pro equipment list. The independent operator confirms actual output, connector, and whether the car can take a charge at your pin.

Why is 9.6 kW in the default field?

AC Level 2 equipment can range from about 2.9 to 19.2 kW on DOE Alternative Fuels Data Center figures. 9.6 kW is one example rate for arithmetic, equal to 240 V at 40 A before losses. It is not what every operator brings, and Charge Pro does not own a standard truck. Change the field to match what the operator actually quotes.

Why not fill the whole battery on scene?

Time scales with energy needed divided by the power the vehicle will accept. A small top-up toward the next charger is often the practical ask. DC fast charging time still depends on the station, the car, and battery temperature. DOE describes roughly 100 to 200-plus miles of range per 30 minutes on DC fast charging, not a guaranteed 20-minute fill.

What if I am at 0% and the car will not wake?

A traction pack with displayed 0% and a dead low-voltage system are different jobs. Tesla Model Y hood-release wires only unlatch the hood and do not charge the low-voltage battery. Jump posts for that model are described after the hood is open. Ask the operator whether they can work this vehicle. Use that model's manual for other cars.

Do you install home chargers?

No. Charge Pro LA is a referral service for mobile EV charging requests, not a contractor. For a home Level 2 install or a panel change, hire a licensed C-10 electrical contractor and verify the license at cslb.ca.gov. Charge Pro does not name, license, or warranty any installer.
