If it’s coupled but not yet moved, you pay at most half the tow charge. Storage rates can’t exceed law-enforcement or CHP-approved rates. Read the signs in front of you. Vehicle Code 21718 bans stopping on a freeway, with exceptions. A disabled vehicle that’s summoned help is one of those exceptions. So is avoiding injury or damage, or following a peace officer. If you die on the 5, the 110, or the 405, stay out of live lanes. Call for help. You’re in the disabled-vehicle exception once you’ve summoned assistance.

Some SCE cities buy generation through Clean Power Alliance, founded in 2017. SCE still delivers the power.
